Art Festivals

With an unmatched calendar of annual events, Park City has blossomed into one of America's most authentic and acclaimed arts communities. Perhaps the best wintertime example of the town's wide cultural streak is the illustrious Sundance Film Festival. This annual event each January is the largest U.S. independent film festival and known the world over for its artistic vibrancy. Each January, Sundance draws an internationally renowned scene of indie films, filmmakers and film buffs to Park City for a ten-day showcase of new cinema, film culture events, panel discussions, youth programs, online exhibition and live music. As the hub of festival activity, Park City has earned its reputation as a vibrant, unique community of artists and audiences.
Warm weather gives rise to a continuous lineup of outdoor celebrations like the world-famous Kimball Arts Festival, hosted by the Kimball Art Center each August, that draws more than 45,000 attendees every year. This three-day juried show is one of the top art festivals in the country, inviting more than 230 artists to display their work in 12 categories - ranging from paintings to jewelry to sculpture and photography. Taste of Art is an integral part of the program, showcasing the tantalizing menus and cuisine of Park City's restaurants.
