Montage's very name is rooted in art.
Among the many artful amenities at Montage Deer Valley are hundreds of original pieces of art by artists that are native to Utah as well as many others, all of whose works are truly representative of the culture and heritage of the American West. These paintings, sculptures and more fill the resort's public spaces, guestrooms and residences, in keeping with the Montage Hotels & Resorts commitment to museum-quality art, particularly original, local art that evokes a unique sense of place. We have also developed a resort "art guide"; a 150 page, hardcover book containing artist biographies as well as information about all of the works that are housed in the public spaces of the resort. This guide will give resort guests, as well as any visiting art lovers, the opportunity to take a self-guided art tour, and to learn more about the fascinating collection of art at Montage Deer Valley.
A note on Montage Deer Valley's Resort Art Guide from Montage Hotels & Resorts CEO and Founder, Alan Fuerstman:
When we opened the first Montage resort in the artists' colony of Laguna Beach, California, we knew that original works of art would always be central to our brand of hospitality. Few pastimes are as deeply satisfying and affirming of a true sense of place than the time spent contemplating original works of art. Whether strolling through a gallery in Beverly Hills or touring through a treasured museum in France, works of art challenge us, inform us and enlighten the spirit. So I am thrilled that a true museum-quality collection of original art has been assembled here at Montage Deer Valley, capturing the flora and fauna of the uniquely beautiful American West. From the mesa and rock formations to the lush vegetation and abundant wildlife that the nature of the West captivates. Through the pages of this guide, we hope to inspire you to get to know Utah though its art and its artists. We also encourage you to support the arts in your local community and share the gift of arts education with your entire family. Our hope is that one day everyone will appreciate the joy of fine art and pass on this admiration to future generations.
