Christopher S. Hamaway

Director of Sales & Marketing

Christopher Hamaway is currently the Director of Sales & Marketing at Montage Deer Valley where he oversees all marketing, public relations, community outreach and sales for this year round mountain resort.

Prior to joining Montage Hotels & Resorts, he was the Senior Corporate Director of Global Sales for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company where he led the team responsible for generating revenue and providing strategic sales direction for over 70 properties around the world. In addition, Mr. Hamaway was a founding faculty member of the Ritz-Carlton’s Sales and Marketing Training and Development program – part of the team given the distinction of “the highest- rated corporate training program in America,” by Training Magazine.

Originally from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Mr. Hamaway oversaw the pre-opening sales and marketing efforts for numerous Ritz-Carlton properties while conducting training and speaking engagements to audiences throughout North America, Europe, the Middle East, and extensively in Asia. Before joining Ritz-Carlton, he oversaw the opening of the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas and served as General Manager of one of the largest travel companies in the U.S.

Among his many distinguished appointments and honors, Mr. Hamaway was a past member of Starwood Hotel’s Global Advisory Board, multiple-time recipient of Ritz-Carlton’s Pinnacle Award and recognized as the #1 Sales Professional for the The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company in 2004.

Mr. Hamaway is an avid outdoorsman with a love of fly-fishing, skiing, and hiking and resides in Deer Valley, Utah.

Kurt Diekhoff

Director of Group Sales

As Director of Group Sales for Montage Deer Valley®, Mr. Kurt Diekhoff leads group sales efforts for this year-round mountain resort, slated to open in December, 2010.

Prior to relocating to Park City, Utah, Mr. Diekhoff was National Sales Manager at Montage Laguna Beach and handled the Midwest and the national insurance and incentive markets. He was part of the pre-opening team at Montage Laguna Beach and spent seven years in that position.

Prior to joining Montage, Mr. Diekhoff was Sales Manager for The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company and Midwest Regional Sales Manager for The Westin Resort St. John Resort and Villas in the Virgin Islands. He began his career as Sales Manager at the Hyatt Regency Kauai Resort & Spa in Hawaii. Mr. Diekhoff’s industry affiliations include The Society of Incentive & Travel Executives (SITE), Financial & Insurance Conference Planners (FICP) and Meeting Professionals International (MPI).

Bob Arrivillaga

Associate Director of Group Sales

Bob Arrivillaga joined Montage Deer Valley as Associate Director of Group Sales and will co-lead the group sales efforts and oversee the California territory.

Prior to joining Montage, Mr. Arrivillaga was Associate Director of Sales for Paradise Point Resort & Spa in San Diego, California. Previous positions include Executive Recruiter for Searchwide and Regional Director of Sales for KSL Resorts. Mr. Arrivillaga was also part of the pre-opening sales team for the St. Regis Monarch Beach where he served four years as Director of Group Sales.

He has served on the board with Meeting Professionals International (MPI) since 2004 and is a member of The Society of Incentive and Travel Executives (SITE).

Mr. Arrivillaga received a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication from the University of Utah.

He currently resides in Park City, Utah with his wife and three children.
