SUSTAINABILITY

A Commitment to Keeping Nature's Canvas Green.
From the moment residents and guests enter Montage Deer Valley, there is a sense of being enveloped by nature's supreme artistry. Here are exhilarating open spaces, mind-clearing mountain air and the kind of eloquent beauty that beckons contemplation. Each season magically transforms the landscape.
From an environmentally sensitive plan to a Montage Director of Sustainability to a passionate pursuit of LEED certification, Montage is committed to sustainable principles and responsible "green" features that minimize its overall carbon footprint. Architecture responds seamlessly to the environs via natural lighting and materials indigenous to Deer Valley® and Utah. This pledge to innovative and eco-friendly design led the Environmental Protection Agency to select Montage as a pilot for their national ER3 (Environmentally Responsible Redevelopment and Reuse) project. Included in this commitment is the setting aside of 2800 acres of open space in the form of a conservation easement, enhancement of the public transportation system for Empire Pass and participation in the Utah Blue Sky Partner Program by purchasing wind-generated power.
The architecture responds seamlessly to the environs via natural lighting and materials indigenous to Deer Valley® and Utah. Throughout Montage Deer Valley, natural landscaping mingles with the high-mountain setting. Native fir, spruce and aspen pay tribute to the surrounding treescape. Open green spaces preserve vital view corridors. A stunning mosaic of natural foliage has been specially chosen to signal the arrival of each dramatic season. In addition, Montage will operate with environmentally sensitive programs including a green housekeeping policy, an Environmentally Preferred Purchasing Policy and an Integrated Landscape Management Plan. Strategic alliances with key community groups will offer even greater opportunities to contribute to the well-being of Park City's wild hearts.
